Why a Medical Advisory Board?

AED Brand Review is YMYL (“Your Money or Your Life”) content. Google holds YMYL pages to the highest possible quality standard — and so do we. Every clinical claim, every survival statistic, every recommendation that could affect a patient outcome must be reviewed by someone with the credentials and judgment to catch a mistake before a buyer does.

Our Medical Advisory Board exists for three reasons:

  1. Editorial integrity. Clinical claims need clinical review. Period.
  2. Reader trust. Buyers facing a decision that could affect employee or student survival deserve content reviewed by someone qualified to evaluate it.
  3. Independence verification. A named medical reviewer is one of the few public-facing checks against manufacturer-influence in AED content. We name ours.

Compensation is paid quarterly. Time commitment is modest — typically 2–4 hours/month, more during major guideline updates.

We're particularly interested in adding

  • A board-certified cardiologist with cardiac arrest research background
  • An OSHA-certified workplace safety professional
  • A pediatric cardiologist or pediatric emergency medicine physician
  • A state-licensed AED program coordinator with multi-site experience
  • An EMS medical director with experience overseeing PAD programs

Why we name our reviewers publicly: Most YMYL sites in the AED space either have no medical review or use anonymous “medically reviewed by our experts” language.
