🎯 Why It Exists
Why a Medical Advisory Board?
Our Medical Advisory Board exists for three reasons:
- Editorial integrity. Clinical claims need clinical review. Period.
- Reader trust. Buyers facing a decision that could affect employee or student survival deserve content reviewed by someone qualified to evaluate it.
- Independence verification. A named medical reviewer is one of the few public-facing checks against manufacturer-influence in AED content. We name ours.

⚙️ How It Works
How the Board Works
1
Pre-publish Review
Every new article, calculator update, and product review is reviewed before going live. Sign-off becomes the visible "Medically reviewed by" byline.
2
Quarterly Audit
Every previously-published YMYL page is re-reviewed quarterly. Statistics re-verified, citations checked, out-of-date claims flagged.
3
Same-day Updates
When a clinical guideline or regulation changes — board members review affected pages within 72 hours.
4
Corrections Triage
When a reader reports a possible error, the board member reviews and confirms the correction before it goes live.
5
Methodology Approval
Major changes to our review criteria require board sign-off. This page itself is reviewed on every revision.
6
Independence Verification
Annually, each board member confirms no undisclosed financial relationships with AED manufacturers.

🛡️ Trust
Independence & Trust Guarantees
Every member of the AED Brand Review Medical Advisory Board commits to the following:
- No undisclosed financial relationships with AED manufacturers, distributors, or service providers.
- Editorial veto power over their assigned content. If a board member flags a clinical claim as incorrect, the content is revised or pulled.
- Public accountability via named byline on every page they review.
- Annual conflict-of-interest renewal. Every board member signs a fresh COI declaration each year.
- Right to resign publicly if they disagree with editorial direction. Any resignation is published on this page with the date.
