AED Batteries
Showing 13–14 of 14 results
Every AED runs on a sealed, single-use lithium battery. When the battery dies, the device stops self-testing and is non-functional — silently. An estimated 1 in 7 deployed AEDs fail because of a dead or expired battery (Journal of the American Heart Association, 2021).
Battery lifespan varies dramatically by brand: Philips HeartStart batteries last 4 years, ZOLL AED Plus batteries last up to 5 years, Defibtech Lifeline batteries last 5 years, and HeartSine PAD-PAK combos (pads + battery in one unit) last 4 years. Some devices print a "install-by" date; others rely on the device's self-test indicator (green checkmark / red X).
This page lists every replacement battery we track — 14 total across the 6 major brands. Filter by brand, install year, or compatibility. Each battery links to the AEDs it powers and the pads typically replaced at the same service interval.
