The same AED Plus for $875
Recertified units are the same model under the same FDA premarket approval, restored and tested before resale. The device that stops a cardiac arrest does not care what you paid for it.
- Same device, same approval. A recertified AED Plus carries the same FDA premarket approval as the new unit. It is not a clone and not a downgrade.
- Minimum three year warranty, guaranteed. Most resellers give one year or less on a refurbished AED.
- Free shipping on orders above $199 in the contiguous United States.
- $1,207 back in your budget covers roughly 13 sets of replacement pads, which is the part that actually expires.
The honest risk. A recertified AED is a used device. That is why the three year warranty matters more than the price. If the warranty were one year we would not recommend it.

Who it is for
- Office, warehouse, gym: the AED Plus tells you if you are pressing hard enough and fast enough, which matters when the rescuer is untrained. IP55 rating handles dust.
- School or church: pick semi-automatic so a trained adult controls the shock, or fully automatic if nobody wants to press the button. Add ZOLL Pedi-padz II for children.
- Home: heavier (6.7 lbs) and dearer than the OnSite or 350P packages; most home buyers choose one of those.
- Fleet buyers: AED Leader offers the cabinet upgrade to alarmed or strobe versions at checkout.
Frequently asked questions
Semi-automatic or fully automatic, which should I pick?
Same price, $2,144.70, at both stores. Semi-automatic asks the rescuer to press the shock button when the device says so. Fully automatic delivers the shock itself after a countdown. Workplaces with trained staff usually take semi-automatic; places where the first person on scene may freeze take fully automatic.
Why is the ZOLL package only $62.70 more than the device?
Because AED Leader and Response Ready price the cabinet, kit, sign, poster, inspection card and decal at $62.70 together when bundled. Bought separately at AED Leader the priced items come to $173.21 before the sign and decal, so the package is at least $110.51 cheaper than building it yourself.
Do the pads and battery really last five years?
ZOLL rates the CPR-D-padz at five years and the ten Duracell 123A lithium batteries at about five years in standby. Both ship installed. Ask the store for the pad expiry date on the unit you receive, and log it on the inspection card that comes in the box.
Can I upgrade the cabinet in the package?
Yes at AED Leader. The listing says the standard cabinet can be swapped for an alarmed or alarmed and strobe cabinet for a small extra charge, and a bleeding control kit can be added. Prices for the upgrades are shown at checkout, not on the package page.
