Is the package worth $52.80 more than the 360P alone?

Yes, if the AED will hang on a wall. Buying the pieces separately costs more:

The cabinet math

360P alone $1,651 + AED Leader’s cheapest compact wall cabinet $118.15 = $1,769.15. The package is $1,703.80, so it saves $65.35 and adds a sign and a poster. With the HeartSine-branded cabinet ($207) the separate route is $1,858, and the package saves $154.20.

If the AED lives in a vehicle or a security bag, skip the package: buy the 360P alone, and add the HeartSine semi-rigid case ($75) if it travels. A HeartSine wall bracket ($113) is the option for an indoor wall without a cabinet. Mounting rules: AED cabinet mounting guide.

03 HeartSine 350P, 360P or 450P package: which one should you buy?

Quick answer: Pick the 360P package when you want the AED to deliver the shock without anyone pressing a button. It costs $240 more than the 350P package. Pick the 450P package for $110 more only if you want real-time CPR rate feedback; it is semi-automatic like the 350P.

One buying difference to check: the 350P is sold over the counter, without a prescription. 04 What does a HeartSine 360P cost over 10 years?

Quick answer: About $2,176 for the 360P package over 10 years: $1,703.80 upfront plus two $236 Pad-Paks. The running cost stays low because the pads and the battery sit in one cartridge with a 4-year shelf life.

Our assumptions, so you can check the math: the Pad-Pak is replaced every 4 years from manufacture, so 2 replacements in years 4 and 8. Prices are today’s store prices and will change. If the AED is used, the Pad-Pak is replaced after use.

Pad-Pak and AED prices read from AED Leader on 11 October 2026. For a recertified unit, ask the seller for the Pad-Pak expiry date, because the first replacement may come sooner than year 4.
For comparison, the Powerheart G5 package runs about $3,562 over 10 years, mostly because its pads expire every 2 years. Children add one item: the pediatric Pad-Pak at $279, which swaps in for the adult cartridge. Full 10-year numbers for 15 AEDs: AED cost calculator.

05 Is there a HeartSine 360P safety notice to check before you buy?

Quick answer: Yes. In June 2025 HeartSine issued a recall for some samaritan PAD 350P, 360P, 450P and 500P units, for a circuit board component that may stop the AED delivering therapy. Affected serial numbers begin with 21, 22, 23 or 24, followed by the letter B, D, E, G or H.

HeartSine’s notice says it had no reported adverse events and recommends keeping an affected unit in service if you have no alternative. Before you buy, and especially for a recertified unit, ask the seller for the serial number and check it on the Stryker US HeartSine notice page. A unit outside that serial pattern is not part of the June 2025 notice.

06 How does the 360P package compare with other AED packages?

Quick answer: At $1,703.80 the 360P package is the 5th cheapest of the 14 AED packages AED Leader sells. Only the 350P, LIFEPAK CR2 USB, Defibtech Lifeline and Philips OnSite packages cost less.
