The same 450P for $875
Recertified units are the same model under the same FDA premarket approval, restored and tested before resale. The device that stops a cardiac arrest does not care what you paid for it.
- Same device, same approval. A recertified 450P carries the same FDA premarket approval as the new unit. It is not a clone and not a downgrade.
- Minimum three year warranty, guaranteed. Most resellers give one year or less on a refurbished AED.
- Free shipping on orders above $199 in the contiguous United States.
- $886 back in your budget covers about three and a half Pad-Paks ($236 each), more than ten years of consumables.
The honest risk. A recertified AED is a used device. That is why the three year warranty matters more than the price. If the warranty were one year we would not recommend it.

What the CPR Rate Advisor actually does
It reads the compression rate from the electrodes themselves. Most AEDs that give rate feedback need an accelerometer or a separate puck placed on the chest; the 450P does not, which is why it runs on the same Pad-Pak as the 350P and why the consumable cost does not change. During CPR it says push faster, push slower, or good speed, and a gauge on the front shows the rate visually.
Is $350.00 worth it
It depends entirely on who will be holding it. If your responders are trained and refreshed, the 350P is the better buy and the $350.00 is better spent on a second device or on training. If the likely rescuer is an untrained bystander, rate feedback is one of the few features on any AED with a direct line to survival, and $350.00 across an eight year warranty is about $44 a year.
For the wider picture, compare against ZOLL AED Plus, which gives depth as well as rate feedback, and see every package priced side by side on our AED value packages page.

Frequently asked questions
$1,813.80 at both AED Leader and Response Ready, verified 30 September 2026. The bare device is $1,761.00, a package premium of $52.80.
The CPR Rate Advisor. The 450P gives live audible and visual feedback on compression rate; the 350P does not. Everything else, including the 2.4 lb body, the IP56 rating and the Pad-Pak consumable, is the same.
No. Both use the same Pad-Pak cartridge, so ten year consumables are about $472 for either.
Yes. Only the 350P is FDA-approved (PMA) for over-the-counter sale; the 450P needs a prescription, which AED Leader and Response Ready can arrange with the order.
The ZOLL AED Plus package at $2,144.70 gives both rate and depth feedback, but it costs $330.90 more than the 450P package. Below the 450P, no package we verify offers CPR rate feedback.
